Several newspapers have written articles that applauded MTI's programs. In fact, a Salt Lake City newspaper, The City Weekly, recently presented MTI with the "Best Extreme Martial Arts" Award for 2003.
What is it about MTI that has propelled it into the spotlight? A unique blending of traditional Thai boxing with an outstanding weight center, a renowned aerobics program, a popular edged-weapons course, and a nationally recognized self-defense program.
We have one of the top trainers in Thai boxing at MTI - Craig "Dr. Psycho" Lamanna. We are determined to provide you with the best training and resources you can find anywhere in North America. Our staff is in contact with the top names in Muay Thai in Thailand, and our trainers are in demand at seminars throughout the United States and Thailand. This means we are able to supply you with authentic Thai boxing training, as well as be at the forefront of changes in the Thai boxing industry.
We pride ourselves on our extensive program schedule. MTI is open seven days a week, with classes scheduled every day of the week except Sunday. Members are welcome from 6 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. When classes are not scheduled, the facility is available for open Thai workouts. Weightlifting and cardio workouts are available all business hours.
In addition to top-notch Thai trainers, we also offer
- a full Olympic weight center, featuring Hammer Strength and Life Fitness equipment
-
a huge assortment of free weights
-
a full cardio center with Life Fitness and Tectrix equipment
We offer our specially designed Thai Boxing Aerobics classes, as well as a full slate of other aerobics classes like Boot Camp and Jump & Jab. Our yoga classes are a great way to develop flexibility and stretch out.
Our AirMonkey Pro Shop has all the latest in Thai boxing gear, weight lifting accessories, and aerobic gear to make your workout complete.
We also have a fly-in camp for fighters or those just wishing to work with our trainers. The camp includes full kitchen, showers, locker rooms, washer, dryer, and lounge area with Thai TV. Just bring bedding and anything else you require.
With such an impressive array of programs and services, it's easy to see why Grappling Magazine (March 2003) says, "Lamanna has broken new ground in developing a mixture of muay Thai and Western fitness in one of the largest facilities of its kind internationally."
